Flames of fire

The medical team around me tells me that I am in the last stage of my life at 29 years old. The cancer has spread and there is no curative treatment available and no operation to consider. Through it all, I know that God is GOOD and expect His miraculous intervention in my body. Nevertheless, there’s this cry inside me that yearns for freedom, healing and restoration. In the worst moments of our lives, Jesus Has NEVER abandoned us and He is a faithful rescuer. Knowing this will give us a peace that surpasses all understanding no matter what the circumstances that we face.

FLAMES OF FIRE

I’m walking in the blazing fire
I feel burned to a crisp
I don’t know what’s left of me
Except these flames consuming me completely

The pain is overwhelming
Inside the furnace, my vision is blurring
Inside of me, a scream is resonating
Take me out of this raging oven

I feel you suddenly overshadowing me with your wings
In an instance, your presence awakens strength and peace within me
Though still in the furnace, all my pain goes away
Looking in your flaming eyes, your resurrection life is filling my day

Never give up, because help is on the way
No matter how hot it gets, Jesus’ saving hands are making a way
He’s taking you out of the furnace, healed by the heat of His love
He’s taking you out of the furnace, filled with the fire of the Holy-Spirit

Though the fire was meant to destroy me, it became my testimony
Long before I was ever hurt, you were ready to restore me
No matter what unanswered questions or how long it takes, you remain good
No matter what comes on my path, you will never abandon me

God of love, consume me until you’re all I see
God of light, shine brightly within me
You are the answer to every cry of our hearts
You transform our ashes into a majestic living scenery
